St. Mark Social Ministries is a committee of individuals that work together to further the principle of Christian love and mercy as one of the fruits of Christian faith.
The responsibilities of this committee are to help people in time of need in the area of food, gasoline and personal items, whether it’s for one of our members or someone in the local community. The committee also sends cards to our shut-ins and hospitalized members at different times throughout the year.
Nursing home and shut-in visits are made to those individuals who may have special need, the church office and or Pastor will notify social ministries of shut-ins. Also, the committee distributes food or gifts at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Emergency situations arise for various needs within the congregation and the community and will be assessed per case.
